Hello,
I emailed 3DTS the other day, asking about the status of the Swanage route.

I received this reply:-

"Hi Bob,

Be patient, they are working on the manual right now.

Best regards,
Brad Brown

3D Train Stuff, Llc"

Best wishes, Bob.

There use to be a chap called MartinH who was working on the route
he got the tin tack so now you only have 2 others left Brad Brown
the leader of the pack and Peter Holton both who rarely post any info
on the UK routes, you have already read above it's not far away just
delayed a bit more because of the loss of one of there key men.

Despite not being best buddies with Brad and co at the moment I have promised to write the manual (and have already started). I've been busy buying a new house recently (all going to plan so far), but hope to have some time this coming weekend to finish the thing off. Other than the manual, I can't think of any reason why the Swanage route can't be published soon. Those of us who worked on the project are very pleased with what we've managed to produce and are looking forward to sharing our creation with everyone else.

MartinH, i went on my swnage holidays and spent about 99.9999% of the time with my dad either on swanage station, at the sheds viewing area or actually on the train! I'd like to say how real this route looks having travelled on it for many years! Excellent! :D

Martin, you are a true gentleman. I trust this kindness and conscientousness is rewarded by those concerned.

Martin

I couldn't honestly care about the money any more. My only concern is getting the route out so that everyone can enjoy it. Like the rest of the team, I've put the best part of a year into the project and am determined not to see this effort wasted.

I've come to the conclusion that the money that I received for my commercial work was really little more than compensation for having to work for a commercial developer. I'm looking forward to doing lots of freeware in future, where I will get to choose what to build and when. I might even find time to enjoy the many routes that I have at home on CD (never installed).

Martin, there are a few more Highworth activities to write. And you'll be pleased to know that all the bugs you encountered before have been squashed and the route is stable and raring to go! Drop me an e-mail if you are interested.

Good to have you with us - it's much more fun being "free" ;)

I have generally avoided commercial work (apart from where it is quick to do and interesting) - as you say, you can do what you like, when you want to.

I am looking forward to running the rest of your original Highworth activities now the route is stable - the folks out there are in for a treat :)
