Route-Riter comes with a built in version of Paul Gausden's Shape File Viewer. However, this version is not exactly the same as the stand-alone version which Paul has posted on most sites, in that if used with a command-line pointing it to a shape file, then SFV appears, makes a Screen-shot of the shape file, then closes again.
This behaviour is incompatible with the way Conbuilder uses SFV, therefore users who wish to use all three programs should not point to the file Route_Riter\SViewRR.exe in the Conbuilder Options menu, but should install a full stand-alone version of SView.exe in a separate folder.

Thanks Mike, I was puzzling over that the other night. I installed RouteRiter to try and work out why I cannot get Cannock Chase to appear in the list of routes to choose from, and then found that ShapeView seemed to just give me a blank screen. I guess I've got a few screenshots to clean up when I can find them
I assumed at the time that my version of Shapeview was out of date, because I had downloaded it and loads of engines months before I even bought MSTS. I downloaded the lastest version from the site last night and everything's fine again.
(But I still can't get Cannock Chase to appear
Needs Xtracks perhaps?

Lyme, by any chance?
Actually, I chose the Radial because of my fascination with the East Kent Railway, which had one of them but hardly ever seemed to use it, and the fact that as a youngster I saw it on the Bluebell line. At the time it seemed all wrong to me, horribly old-fashioned, but I later came to love the Victorian style.
I only discovered the Lyme Branch a few years ago. If anything should have been saved from closure it was that branch.
Let me know if you want a beta-tester.
