Hi all!
I am absolutely very keen on MSTS but just for something different I want to try FS 2002 professional or FS 2004 just for a change to see if i like it the question is this I have been told FS 2002 will run better on my machine which is XP professonal 2.4XP. 1GB Ram. G Force 4 TI 4200 128 MB. Because FS 2004 needs a very powerful machine. I would be obliged for any information as I know some people on this site do also play FS.
Thanks

Hi!
I've been an avid Flight Sim admirer, and user, for almost 4 years now! Started with FS95, moved on to FS98, then FS2002, now FS2004! It's absolutely superb, and just as addictive as MSTS!
Seriously, it IS true that you need a good spec PC to run FS2004 at it's best...but your machine should have absolutely NO problems! You may just need to play around with the sliders to find the best balance of high-res graphics & realism with decent FPS! The main frame-rate "hit" on FS2004 is the Clouds. They really are brilliant, but the whole thing runs far better when you tweak 'em down just a tad!
I give it my hearty recommendation!!! Suggest you pick up a decent Flight Yoke or FF Joystick with lots of switches to make the experience even better! (I've got a 3 monitor "cockpit" setup for when I'm flying online, which I do almost every evening!)
Have fun!

Some have stuck with FS2002 as they reckon FS2004 wasn't significantly improved and performed less well but FS2004 runs perfectly well on my PC and your specs are higher than mine except my preocessor is 2.8Ghz.
There wasn't many add-ons for a while but there is now but there's some fiddling about with the config files for freeware add-on planes.
