Removal of streamlining on the Coronation class.

Post by boeing126 »

Please can anybody tell me what year (within a couple either way) did they start to remove the streamlining from the Coronation class engines?

Locos mostly 1946 and 1947, Birmingham was first, and Lancaster lasted till 5/49, and was the only streamliner to carry the BR number (tattily!).

Tenders from 1944.
