Kosmos

Post by lemberg »

Hi , Has anyone had problems with Kosmos in respect of missing texture files, as my dowload of the utility keeps telling me that the Active sky texture is missing. Can anyone can send me a copy of this texture please.

I think it's telling you a sky texture is missing, but not which one it is. I presume no one but the environment author would know which it is so probably best to e-mail him directly. I doubt if anyone else could help in this instance, unless someone knows different!

I get this all the time. I have to grab the texture file from another route or the env folders of the Kosmos install and manually copy it in. I assumed it was a bug in Kosmos.

I had a Kosmos file listed in the deleted files when I used Route Riter to compact a route.

I've had a look around the UKTrainSim website and found plenty of add-ons for "Kosmos", but no actual program. Is this another program I need to spend money on?

No, it's free. It allows you to alter things like clouds, preciptation levels, fog, water textures and sounds - all the environment type stuff. You can get it at http://www.Train-sim.com.

It's by no means obligatory and is just another bit of icing to the cake. Not having it has no effect on things like activities written on routes that do have it for example.

Even if it were commercial, you don't NEED to spend anything, its not compulsory.
