I have those Cl47 sounds installed on my locos I drive on Woodhead and I have to say they are pretty raw - recorded (or whatever) with much to high gain so they end up very distorted and much louder than any other engine in an activity, even yours if it happens to pass an AI 47 using these sounds!

Can the volume be easily dialled down?

Many thanks everyone for your kind replies which are much appreciated !

I ahve already installed the CL47 SND which is much better than the efault Dash 9, but was just wondering if there are any better sounds anywhere?

Best Wishes,

No probs about the reply :). Happy to help.

The East Lancashire Railway is a preserved railway 'oop norf', which is currently subject to a MSTS incarnation ;). Featuring on the CD should be 47402 'Gateshead' plus authentic cab and sound files.

The CD is not released as yet, but a thread showing progress can be found here:

class 47 sounds

I just use class 45 sounds as this is the same twin bank engine although the exhaust system gives it slightly different note.
