AE Shop's BR Standard Class 4

Post by sutton »

I hate to nag (i'm famous for it) but has anyone heard anything about Robin Howell's Standard 4 as i'm itching to see it. The standard 4s and 5s are by far my favourite classes and i'm surprised that there are none available to download. I'm surprised that Terry Thonton hasn't had a bash at a standard engine as he created the superb standard tank for SVR (and every other engine on that add on now I come to think of it).

The Class 4 is still in the works and I have a version that I have been running on my own system but it is not ready for upload. I am being a bit slow as I have been distracted by other things like getting back to my own model railway and making real world models. Another reason is that I have been a bit jaded and dissapointed at the moaning and bitching that has ocurred (and still does, by a minority perhaps) on this site. It has definately put me off uploading stock. I have a few things in a finished state but as yet haven't felt the urge to upload.

Robin,

Standard 4's are a particular favourite of mine, and I'd love to see on uploaded. I've been in a similar boat to you recently, but I'm now ready to crack on again... it's just a timing thing.

It's occurred to me that the people who complain the loudest are the ones who don't upload anything themselves. Therefore, they don't really count, do they?

Looking forwarrd to the 4.

The foolishness of a few again results in a great loss to the majority.

Hi

I would love to see the Standard 4 be uploadd, I am sure that it will be as goodd, if not better, than all of your previous stuff, in which case it will be a treat indeed. It would be even better if could do a few quick generic industrials for colliery lines etc  , and I can send you over some pics if you like :)

Robin - I'd love to see your Standard too. It would fill a big gap in the MSTS steam roster.
