Blue Arrow TS LNER loco pack

Post by sutton »

I was just wondering if the loco pack was any good (i'm sure it is) as i'm seriously keen LNER locos, I know that Blue Arrow say it's good on their website but I thought it best to get a user opinion. I feel that the best thing about a loco is it's sound. Ideally it should be recorded from the actual engine and be in time with the wheel revolutions and should go quiet when the regulator is closed. The GWR Manor sounds available for download are cracking and when married with the superb L class Baltic (Remembrance) tank you have my current favourite engine.

I can thoroughly recommend this add-on. Have bought it and use it frequently, esp when allied to Mid-East KX extension!

The pack is excellent except IMHO for the loco sounds, which are not properly synchronised with wheel rotation. A couple of us grumbled about this in the Blue Arrow forums and last we heard their team were looking into it.

I share kevpotts' opinion.
If you already have their SVR stuff, you will know what excellent quality to expect.
