Brunel The Little Giant - Thursday's 7:30 on HTV West
Unfortunately this only applies to viewers in the HTV West region. There's a new 6 part series on HTV next Thursday at 7:30pm taking a look at both the Great Western mainline and Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Part 1 features London Paddington-Plymouth.
Worth a look if you're in the HTV West region.

Will let you know what I think of the series next Thursday. Name of the programme by the way is "Brunel - the Little Giant". Might well cover more about Brunel himself, rather than the Great Western Mainline.
As for those of you who are in the wrong ITV region to watch it, don't feel too left out. You probably get some good railway programmes exclusive to your ITV region which all other ITV regions don't get either.

Mm..... Not too bad a programme. As expected by the series title, the programme is more about Isambard Kingdom Brunel himself and his architectural achievements, and limited material about the GWML itself. So of more interest to Brunel fans than GWML fans. Stil found it worth watching though.
From my initial post when I said that part 1 featured London-Plymouth, I did think that this would be an awful lot to squeeze into a 22/23 minute programme. Part 1 though featured a number of locations in London including Paddington station. Some modern day footage of HST's and Adelente's.
Further programmes in the series will feature Didcot, Swindon, Bristol, Taymar Bridge, and onto Plymouth.
