You change it in the MSTS settings.

Naaaaah! They didn't have them in the 20s through to the early 60s, so I don't use it either.

You mean the Alerter?

No chance, most annoying thing it is.

The last thing you need when doing a complicated shunt is some stupid buzzer going off!

Every 20 seconds or something you get a buzzer goes off and if you don't press the Z key it derails you or something like that - personally I found it stupid, annoying and disabled :)

Not derails, but Automatically puts the Emergency Brake on.

It is like it in real trains, except its a random time, not once a min. The MsTS one is quite un-realistic anyway, most UK trains just have a beeping, not a speeding-up beeping.
