The ammount of times i have seen Flames and pointed them out to Matt here, and they have been delt with swiftly.

I feel though, this was a bit of a wasted post, as it seems to promote flaming in the forums.

Yeah, that was pretty spectactular. I think someone harder than me should do the car-stop signs!!!

The only flames around here should be emerging from the exhausts of class 37s :-)

I think its more than that, but its certainly partly true.
There is also a part of the forum community who want to look big / important / knowledgeable. And then there is another part who have been here forever and have seen it all before, and don't have the patience to play the games with these people anymore. they will be judged on what they do, not what they say they 'will' do. And then add that to their sensitivity over the subject, you've got a great mix of 'mischief' and 'over reaction'.
Then there is the 'I know everything about modern scene railways' brigade, who almost every other post manage to make is so clear they don't know 1/4 as much as they think they do. (and also appear incapable of using Google to find answers)

And of course, that's never you, or myself but 'the others'

We'll have to sort these 'others' out along with 'some people' and 'those people' :D

Not a pop at you, jbilton, we all do it  :D :D

Think the big problem is that whilst 90% of us try and get along, their is a sad minority who will cause trouble, or overreact to little things, and soon even the more layed back become drawn up in it. A good example that seems to often cause tension at this sort of place is the nitpickers vs. those who can't take a little critisism, a regular one not only when it comes to things people have produced, but also often in relation to S.P.A.G (spelling punctuation and grammer) of posts. We all need to learn to, if we were speaking the phrase would be "bite our lips" so whatever they typing equivalent to that is (bite our fingers), sometimes, both to try and not offend people in the first place, and to not rise to the bait of those imature (referance to mental, not real age) people who are out to cause an argument.
Remember, be cool and calm 8), and don't drink and post :drinking:

Ummmm.... shouldn't there be a comma after 'punctuation' too? or should there be? :-)

Oh yes, that thread was interesting.

Yes, there ought to be a commar after pronounciation.

Anorak wearers? The stereo-typical image of a trainspotters sees these donned by spotters. I prefer my coat from Primark, much better... :)

No, I don't think there should be one. The "and" already "takes" the commas place.
