City of Truro Returns!

Post by eddief »

Just had a test message iff my bro who is passing through York...

"City of Truro is outside the museum in bright sunshine, it looks superb. It is fully lined out and polished up."

Sounds good to me :).

Alas, AllyPally, you may be right.

But 2-Bils did have a certain style.

I had a Tri-ang HO model long before it became a collectors item!

Nothing can detract from a "Kettle" but there's room for all surely? :D

I doubt that many of today's "plastic" creations will last that long, nor be missed come to that!

Oh, I don't know, some people are blubbing over the end of the 56s and so on. Must need their heads examining!

Pardon me, boy
Is that the Chattanooga choo choo?
Track twenty-nine
Boy, you can gimme a shine
I can afford
To board a Chattanooga choo choo

And just a trifle to spare.

That's fantastic news. And to think she was in hundreds of bits all over the workshop when I visited the NRM last July. I could see the rolling chassis and the cab, but the boiler and everything else were elsewhere.

She's due down here soon as long as she passes all the tests. I'll be out to see her. A damn fine engine in anyones eyes... And even better for being GWR. :P

INCREDIBLE!!!

I never thought this engine would ever steam again and was very excited when 'Steam Railway' magazine put out the appeal 3 years ago.

It just looks fantastic in steam. I can hardly wait to see it at the Railfest in June.

Anyone else goin?
