You mean your were asked for a five figure sum by Eurostar for the CTRL. The sweetner is you take crashes out of the simulation....LucaZone wrote:Sad to say, MSTS Crash site does infact feature real life rail crashes. There is also a page dedicated to suppling Activities that are designed to crash trains.
All of which u said 0.001% of people would be all it takes to cause major grief is happening on MSTS Crash Site.
Ive contacted a number of Model and Route authors about the site, and suprisingly many of them already know about it, and in some cases company lawyers of the real life trains / stations / routes are involved, yet the site continues to operate.

It means in MSTS 2 some trains won't derail - Even though we know if you go around a 1000 mr curve at 186mph you will.LucaZone wrote:To get back to the point then..........
What effect does it have on allowing TrainSimmers to do what they want, and Commercial Developers making good products for it.
It also means that commercial developers maybe prevented from making products that derail - or even products at all. Sometimes a TOC may put up with what they perceive as adverse PR by charging extra. Both parties are in business, so this is quite normal.

A sensible compromise would be:-
Trains could de-rail (a part of the 'realism')
But, when they did,
They remained upright and intact (as part of the PC)
Just a thought

And all any of this discussion proves is that you'll never please all of the people all of the time.
The only real problem will come when whichever members of the 'pc police' are in a position to, or have enough influence to, affect the programming. Till then, it's all just hot air.

Someone said before, the reason it has the ability to simulate crashes, is to boost its sales.
