3 New Sound Sets On Their Way! A-Hoy!

Post by petermakosch »

These will NOT become Vapourware- I Promise!

1st Set- Class 170 TurboStar
Status: 60% Complete
Yes! I have just got to get one External sound, and the Internal Sounds then its Beta :D

2nd Set- DMU Sounds 2.0
Status: 90% Complete
Just getting the tweaks sorted out, then Beta :)

3rd Set- Class 43 Sounds
Status: 20% Complete
Not really sorted this set. Got some basic sounds sorted into: "hst_loop, "hst_horn_ex", names which i relate to while building up the sound system.

All sounds are my own, excepting one in the Class 170 Sound Set, and an email out to the Author has been sent today. I will also make a "Preview" download avaliable here (Not on UKTRAINSIM, so you can download whatever time, with no worries).

Ye, let's have some soundsets for trains which don't have any soundsets yet, rather than multiple versions for the same trains. Some examples of trains we don't yet have any soundsets for are Class 117 DMU's, Pendolinio's.

The 117 has a soundset; it uses the Kiha recordings, but the .sms files have been changed to make it sound like a first generation EMU. It sounds quite good.

LOL, but they all seem a bit (No offence) not good.
I will continue with the HST set, but make it extreamly good, spend months at it, not a few days.

I dont have any sounds of the others, thats why i have chosen to make these, I will however hunt around :D

If you use mine and move the throttle up gently it sounds extremely realistic!
