32mph eh! Are you sure I thought rural buses were usually geared for faster running between villages.jp4712 wrote:Definitely a Bristol L5G. Not sure about the body, it may be Brush. It would have been awful to drive, all solid engine mountings and governor cut-out at 32 mph. Not like a lovely Leyland...
All we need now is for cousinit796 to ask a question about his bituman tankers and this thread will implode!

32 mph is plenty when you have vacuum brakes with old-style woven brake linings that fade coming down hills! I'm pretty well-acquianted with a K5G, the double decker equivalent, built at about the same time as the one in the photo and believe me, 32 is enough! And I reckon in the blackout the drivers of the time would have agreed. Now, as John said, what was this thread about...?

Ah, Good..
Back on the right track at last..........
Track, Eh? Geddit???
SO - future posts to this topic must include in the sense of the message:-
1. Awards.
2. Railways, or more specifically MSTS.
and
3. Women's wobbly bits
OK, so NO-ONE has produced an animated model of a woman for MSTS..........no joggly women running for trains, etc, etc..........so No Award possible............
SO..............Thread Closed???? Topic Ended?????
THE PENNY DROPS.............I KNEW there was a reason why MS were including moving people getting on and off trains in MSTS2.
(Digs out his magazine front CD copy of "Poser")
I'll have to do some serious research....................could take months....
