Is it wise to put these much older activities onto v1.3?
I wouldn't try earlier activities on 1.3 - because the paths down the mainline will be broken.

Unless you have the 1.3 paths, and when unpacking say "no" to any questions asking if you wish such-and-such.pat to be replaced.

It will still have the sidings and the same general feel, only a little more ECML feel about it and some of the fictional bits are going.

It will have alot more original content to it and the stations will look more prototypical.

The activity creators need to start thinking about the "Houghton farewell" tours and the "Eaton Socon Sunset" or the "Grafham Growler"

We will be losing 2 power stations and gaining 2 more plus a few coal mines and a new refinery to replace houghton, albeit a little further away and in new locations.

Good luck with the makeover Tim. Mid-East looked pretty damn good anyway but it's nice to go through the routes and give them a spring clean. Two years ago when I released the original Far North I felt quite smug. Having got 90% way through refurbishing it I cringe when I look how bare, unrealistic and generally default it looked. We've all learned a great deal in the last two years plus there's a wealth of models to call on and of course TSM which we were only dreaming about in Nov '01.

Tim,

Updating of your route is more interesting to many of us than MSTS2?!

It was the best, still is the best, UK route so far. There have been plenty of excellent UK routes since and well executed too, but none quite reaches the scope, range of activities, and overall "feel" of MidEast.

The detail of SVR and the reworking and development of Woodhead are widely applauded and the amazing amount of "Activity" development for other UK routes proove that "tweaking", "honing" and "improving" existing stuff is as welcome, if not more, than "new" stuff.

i for one look forward to any new update.

The bad thing about shape viewer is that you can quickly look at all your old work - I'll upgrade the PGA and PXA wagons for the new release...

Some "License" will be applied again in this release purely because it is basically a route based on the ECML with activity creation in mind so a few industries will be placed here and there that may have existed once but are long gone, should help the activity people once again.

Mike,

Thanks for letting me know, I will have a use for those too, I will also be adding some stock and I might see if I can squeeze a few freebs from BA if poss, along with a few bits from the reskinners on here too!
