The Pendolinos are much better, looking at interior pictures compared to the Voyager.

Pendolino is much better than Voyager, it's very nice inside, they are much quieter, smoother and more comfortable. Overall, they are what Voyager should have been.

the Pendilino is much Quieter than a Voyager because its electric!

YOU CANNOT COMPARE A DUM TO AN EMU!

If so, then lets say this: Compare a Class 150/2 or 153 to a Desero. You cant because they are two different types of train!

Then let's compare DEMUs to EMUs!
It could be quiter if the engines were moved away, like at the ends like the HST. But that wouldn't make it a mutiple unit anymore. Or the ycould pad the engines properly.

Pendolinos are quieter, not because they are electric (we're ignoring engine noise here), but because the only noise you hear is the air-conditioning (turning on/off over neutral sections). In a Voyager you are subjected to various indescribable bleeps and buzzes, most noticably the dynamic brakes when slowing. Having sampled an Adelante recently, the 180 is quieter and smoother than Voyager, the only intrusion being the noisy air-conditioning. Now, if only they could fix the high-speed ride quality (French bogies you know...). The real test will be Voyager compared to the HST-2.

But the rest of my post stands - the interiors of a 390 are vastly superior to a Voyager. That's why, in my personal opinion. Pendolino is King Of The (WCML) Hill - roll over Mk2/3s. Network Rail - over to you!

I don't blame you, they look superb...I can't wait until I get to sample them next year...Such a long wait...

180s quieter?

You haven't sat on them for long then...The announcer with her continuous message after every stop is annoying, and I only had to put up with it 4 times...Then there's the squealing brakes...OMG, to stand on Platform 2 when the 1555 pulls in for the 1630...We've just had new track put in there, those damn 180s had better not squeal now...Some seriously dodgy brakes on them...Always screech when stopping...Imagine one doing 125MPH, then the train doing an emergency stop...NO!

I can't say the Voyagers are better, but I've never had problems with them yet...
Project H2P status: Currently awaiting software to fix PC problems. Got a start on .mkr file, hoping to continue that soon. Wprk should re-commence very soon.

In first class you get a like did-de-dum did-de-dum did-de-dum every so often, is that the brakes as well or is that staff contacting each other?
