I'm going to download one route tommorow, whats it to be? Warrington or Merseyside, and why? Are they both electrified? Do they both use UK style catenery? This is important to me as I want to run EE 50s and AC Electrics.

They are both electrified. I'd say download Merseyside first, because it covers a larger area. But I'd recommend both.

Merseyrail - because there is alot more scope for different passenger trains, and you could run a wide range of pickup goods trains

Warrrington is good if you want to play around for short amounts of time because its not vastly long, But there is quite alot of scope for goods trains

As far as I know, they both use UK style catenery. Plus Merseyside is set in the 60s and Warrington is set in the modern day.

I've just looked at the screenies for the activities and it mentions about "Huge White Outs" on the Merseyside one, as well as the old MSTS style catenery, so I'm going to give this one a miss for the moment.

As for Warrington, theres plenty of activities and the screenies look good. But looking at the downloadable route map, it appears, as mentioned, as yet a lack of mileage.

So, I think I'll wait a bit.

That GCR London Extension is worth hanging out for (although the only way you'll get an AC Electric onto it is by dragging it!)

You get the white-out problem on both routes - it's nothing to do with the route authors, it's a bug in MSTS when you cross certain longitude points. It affects Warrington on the line to Frodsham, and Merseyside between Crewe and Chester. You have to just let the whole train get into the white-out area, then save the activity and reload: and all is well again.

I have both routes and enjoy them both very much.
