Dan,
Thanks for the comments.
I've got no plans to do an Anglia liveried, it may be on Alex Shaw's (Breedlings) list of things to do though.
Cheers,
Andy.

I wouldn't bother either, now Intercity just like AR01, ah now that would be class! Best livery, best set of coaches, best guards office, JUST BEST!snowcrashandy wrote:Dan,

Definitely a job for the repainters, I've built 40 odd shapes built on the Mk 2 bodyshell in the past 6 months.
Apart from Alex, nobody's offered to repaint the DBSO yet, in one of the screenshot posts there's a decent repaint of the DBSO in Scotrail livery, but the repainter decided it would look better without an interior so that it would match the old Mk2 shape in Scotrail livery.
Months ago people were saying "We need new Mk 2s with interiors", so a lot of effort goes into building new shapes and texturing them and we get repainters painting to suit the old stock.
Was it worth the effort?

To put the record straight...
I think "Breedlings" has got a whole list of Mk2 repaints to including Scotrail, Inter City & Anglia etc but I think he does have other things to
do so everyone will have to bare with him and be patient...
Also..
As "snowcrashandy" has put a lot of effort into the Mk2's, anyone who wants to repaint them without interiors to match old stock won't get my permission to upload reskins...sorry!!

Although SnowCrashAndy commented that he has no plans to do the anglia version, we might be able to persuade him when he starts work on the EuropeanBahn Liverpool Street Norwich route which is planned for next year. thats not been announced yet so you ain't sin this, roight!

I agree - it's nuts to make repaints that undo most of the great improvements in the new Mk2's.
One thing about the DBSO actually, though - it seems very slow, it struggles to get up beyond 70mph. This a common problem with Driving Trailers, actually - you can't have them as actual trailers, so you're never sure quite how powerful to make them. The best thing would probably be to give it the same performance settings as a 47/86/90/etc, and include a powerless version of the loco for rear working. You could have different numbered DBSO's for different locomotives.

hi
Basildd....
A quote from EuropeanBahn website.....
"November 1st 2003
We are very pleased to announce another new project being developed by Europeanbahn for release in Summer 2004 - The first commercially available MSTS route featuring the Irish railway system! The route will be based on the Belfast to Dublin run, as it was in the 1990's. This will allow high speed passenger running, freight activity and much more..."
Does this mean your not going to be doing the London-Norwich line???
Say it ain't so!!
