Arriva train on S&C
Can anyone tell me the times of the loco hauled trains in both directions and have they actually started yet !

Did you get a look at the interior? To what extent have the vehicles been refurbished? The Mk2s are ex-Virgin, I belive. Are they ones fitted with IC70 seats? (in which case, I would expect a new seat cover is the best to be expected - which is fine by me, IMO the IC70s are the best designed seat ever!)

Arriva 37TT Mk2s
I didn't get a proper look inside the Arriva Mk2s as i was on a neighbouring train. I hope to sample it first hand in the near future.
I have just made up the consist in MSTS though and all i can say is it needs a soundtrack by Motorhead.

I don't think anything's been done to the interior, but it's very nice so nothing would need to be done!
I had a spare hour last week so took a train to Keighley (on a horrible Pacer which should have been a class 333) and back on the 37s, left Keighley at least 5 mins late, very smooth ride, it was suprising how quick all the stations were going past (most trains on that route call at most stations) very fast run and it got outside Leeds about 6 mins early however it was held outside Leeds at a signal so was on time.
The train did seem to be getting a bit of attention, some passengers did think it was a bit unusual (some people asking where the train was going) Once people get used to it I think they'll go out of their way to catch that train! There were also loads of enthusiasts on the train.

Good grief, really? Says a lot about the underemployment of the 67s if they're not needed for more 'prestigeous' work. Presumably this would be a push-pull operation? (Top & tail would be, err, interesting - 6,000+ bhp on 4 carriages... hmm....)doownyl wrote:You are indeed right - good luck with the skive, but don't leave it too long - EWS are wanting to switch the S&C diagram to 67 haulage, my guess being in the first few months of next year.micksasse wrote:Am I right in thinking it only runs Mon-Fri? Might be hard to engineer a skive if so!
