Looking for Steve Nicklin

Post by sundog »

Hi

I'm looking for the author of the EMU unit Class 506. His readme doesn't include an email address. I'd just like to ask a few questions about the .eng file.

If you could email me I'd appreciate it:
afradwright@ntlworld.com

Thanks

I uploaded the 506 on behalf of Steve Sherratt who does visit and post on here regularly. Find a post by him (user SteveSherratt) and then send him a mail.

BTW whats the issue with the .eng file - I assume the physics stuff is not 100% but the sparking pantos are in there!!!

Nooo - nothing wrong with the physics as far as I'm aware! And it's the panto effects I wanted to ask about.

I just d/loaded the Picaddilly Line and I've "borrowed" these effects and used them on the bogies of some of the Tubes as an experiment - for my use only. The thing is, I've been asked how this is done. Naturally I respect ownership of the original .eng file etc., and wondered if the author would mind if I used them this way?

All I've done is to say what file I've used, and where to make the changes. Being a repainter myself I would never dream of passing files on, so I've just described how I did it.

I hope this is okay?

Best regards
Ken

I thought it might be to do with the sparking pantos - I like the idea of using them on LU bogies - cracking idea.

I've PM'ed you with steve's email address

Thanks Steve - really appreciate it!!

The sparks are a great touch to that EMU - if you were behind them (responsible for them!! ) than you've done an excellent job.

I'll send a mail ASAP asking his advice.

Thanks again
Cheers
