no it was sort of like an end of the world thing...they went into a tunnel and froze themselves with some gas

but it was entirely fictional

I know where the tunnel shot was filmed ;). They used 2 mark 2's on my local preserved railway. If its the same one, did they exit, adn It was like all tropical and rubbish and debris everywhere? If so, I helped with the 'messing up' of the tunnel :).

Yeah, I remember that program. I can't remember what train it was, but it was a good series. I wish ITV would show it again.

I remember it as well ....

A train shot into a double tracked tunnel which became single tracked inside if I remember correctly ....

So .... stock film footage until the acciddent and after that there wasn't much recognisable ....

Not really much railway content like Bond film type filming ....

Good story though and I wish they'd repeat it ....

Definately Brooksbottom tunnel on the ELR. Single tracked, but was double tracked in BR Days. I remember 'em filming it in about 1999 as well :).
