Though judging by the new aviation slant ( ), it should probably be in Chatter, erm, I mean the Open forum :)

When demand for HST's reaches zero in this country the leasing companies may look for alternative markets abroad in developing countries... Like the class 58's and maybe sell some off for a nominal/scrap value.

However if you had enough cash now and wanted to buy an HST then as long as you were a qualified driver with route knowledge etc etc and the HST had it's safety certificate then you may be allowed to run it on Network Rail lines.

Please tell, Does your Dad own Chelsea football club and have you just asked him for a trainset for your birthday?

Re Class 58's - EWS would probably sell you one if you asked, Might cost more than £1 though.

Dave. Have a word with you're old mates at the police force, i'm sure they'll close the A27 for take off, then the M275 for landing, and then close them again in the evening for you're trip home.
Then have a word with you're bosses, i'm sure they dont need all that space in the car park, and so would probably let you have a few hundred extra bays
You'd have to approach from the south when landing going to work, so be carefull not to knock down the Millenium tower or the sails of the south, or the Tricorn on you're approach

Knocking down the Tricorn, now theres an idea. Would almost be worth the cost of buying the plane !

Hmm, you'd spiral to your death though, is it worth THAT much?

Is it that thing outside Burger King you showed me Dave?

I suggest you downgrade to a Harrier, much more convenient, and it's handy for blowing away the lleaves in your garden in the autumn.
