37 to the rescue
37402 had to come to the rescue today as 7802 Bradley Manor failed down Kingswear with a hot Box. Photo's upload to moro. Bradley Manor stuck down Paignton and Dartmouth Railway. Churston I think.

Went down to Kingswear yesterday and was waiting for 7802 which was just over 30 mins late. Came in to Kingswear and they said it had failed. Then they kept running the engine around and finally took it to Churston. Still at Churston, but next weeks tour i have heard that it could be 34027 Taw Valley or 5051 Earl Bathurst.

This wouldn't be after the Sunday 27th VSOE Train would it? I saw Taw Valley been dragged by the Western. Found a good station near Woking (called Brookwood) where you could have Taw Valley next to the old station, she turned up after sunset been dragged by the Western so no sound or photosHymek wrote:I dont think it would be taw valley, The last time i saw her, she was in bits

I've got pics of the meldon convoy and the class 37 on my website http://railpics.fotopic.net
It certainly was a surprise seeing it coming, we'd avoided the steam special and to our knowledge it'd left earlier in the day...of course, we couldnt then work out what the heck the tractor was playing at!!!!

According to the timings Taw Valley was supposed to be on 1 end and the western on the other as it reversed at Poole so Taw Valley would lead, apparently Taw Valley's air pump died so it could not pull the train.mattcarey wrote:Taw Valley was being pulled by the Western Because That was what the tour was.
