*Thomas Fan Forum!*

Post by sillyevan27 »

This is an advertisment (non-paid) for the local "Thomas the Tank Engine Forums" :)
Some may recall a group of us Thomas fans wanting a forum made because of the increase in Thomas/Sodor related threads. When Atomic Systems didn't do this, we made our own forums 8)
First we were at one forum...but the bandwidth was used up rather quickly with many "ACTIVE" members  So we moved once again and the forum is still very active to this day!
....so the link in the old thread isn't useful anymore :( ....

So here I am, begging/recruting ( ) people who are avid Thomas fans to please consider joining up with us ^_^
All you need to do to join up is email Caesar82 (known here as TRIPLE8) and ask him about details on how to join :) There is NO cost, no secret cult, and of course no violence ~_~

I DO NOT want to see spam in this thread because all I want is to let more people know that "yes we still exist! "

The link to our Thomas Forums is listed below:
http://sodor.hyperboards.com/index.cgi

8) Thank you all for your time! 8)

There is more to our Thomas Forum than thomas folks :)

We have sections just like here  We have the...

FRONT DESK-- This section is mainly for questions, suggestions, and feedback regarding the entire board. Announcements (if any) will be posted here as well.
GENERAL SECTION-- General discussion about Thomas & Friends which doesn't fit into any other category. Links to other Thomas-related sites can be found and/or posted here.
TELEVISION SERIES-- Talk about the latest episodes, characters, or the classics. With over 150 episodes created so far, there's a lot to discuss! You may also talk about "Thomas & the Magic Railroad", as well as Thomas Video/DVD releases (past or present).
THE RAILWAY SERIES-- A section devoted to the origins of Thomas and the Island of Sodor. Discuss the stories here!
FAN FICTION-- Create your own stories, episodes, characters or other ideas to share with fellow Thomas fans. Whether it be for a new Thomas episode, an addition to The Railway Series, or an independent train-related creation, post them here!
THOMAS MSTS Show-off your current or upcoming Thomas creations for Microsoft Train Simulator. Talk about possible models and give advice to begginers in the MSTS world.

...and of course (made by popular demand) we have...

CHATTER SECTION-- Anything goes...but please keep it decent!

  Hope to see some new members! Our doors are always open

Um, of course....that's the main thing. A Thomas message board for Thomas fans. What else?

(Didn't think it would be "advertised" here, though! )

Evan, Tugs never came before Thomas, they came after series 2 was aired here and before series 3 went into production!

BUt David Mitton (from TUGS) actually worked on TUGS first and then moved over to working on TtTE and Friends after the 1st season of TUGS

Oh and btw people, we are sorry to say that our Thomas Forums are down temporarily for maintanence (spelling?) :(
This down time isn't going to last long only until the 20th of August :) It may seem like a long time but after the maintanence is over the board with be much more efficient! :D

So if anyone want's to sign up for our forums, just be patient an wait until the 20th-21st to register

Sorry to correct you again, but David Mitton has ALWAYS worked on Thomas, right from 1984 when the show began. Tugs began in 1988, and finished in 1989, after 1 season only. Mind you, not your fault for not knowing Evan, they were a British production

I don't want this to get off topic people :-? But just to quote someone from the TUGS forums:
Plans for a second series were to follow shortly after the first, but thanks to the timely (but in our case UNtimely) arrival of Britt Allcroft, the series was shunted to appear at a later date...and then disappeared completely.

The partnership between Robert and David was also strained after Britt's arrival. So much so that several years down the track after TUGS, Robert took off on his own. David stayed on, but was soon to be pushed clean out of the loop.
Seems that David Mitton worked on TUGS before working on the Thomas crew :) The show might ave AIRED after Thomas but seems alot of work happened before.

Correction on my part. I have been informed from a more trusted member of the TUGS forum that yes indeed I was mistaken
Oh well...anywho, this thread is about Thomas Forums not TUGS so let us get back on topic shall we 8)
