British Rail Font Question

Post by fairlie »

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know what font BR uses for their nameplates? I need it for a project.

As well as the standard Gill Sans there are two specially made fonts which resemble BR signage you can download from most font websites: 'Paddington' and 'London Tube'. Theres also a couple called 'Midland Railway' and 'Coronation Scot' which look like LMS poster fonts from the '30s. - Ideal for those route launch cocktail party invites. :)
