Happy Birthday Mideast
Just a short post since the route although looking a little ragged around the edges with all these fine materpieces around - Is actually celebrating its 2nd birthday this week since it was on this day 14th july that the first track section was laid, this is the tile that contains the station at St neots (This is why this bit contains all default objects)
This was originally the fictional ECML which was uploaded during september of 2001 thne updated and uploaded to UKTS for the first time with the run from newark in December 2001
At this time the only 2 UK routes available were Modern England and Fictional ECML.
I am hoping the route will last into MSTS2 and if not then I hope I can make something suitable that can replace it in the new program once SVR is done.
My last comment is a big thank you to all who have supported what could be the busiest virtual route on the UK scene!
Thanks again
Tim

MEUK is still the benchmark for UK mainline routes.
The existance of the original FictECML (on TSF I believe) was the route that persuaded me that 'yes, I could do that!' and Woodhead was born in October 2001.
Many thanks Tim

I love it too Tim, and apart from one other route, it's the only thing outside of TrainStore at the moment. For a start you get the chance to run long main-line runs up the ECML, or long freight runs. Then there's the sidings all over the place, not to mention the March line, and all the collieries and power stations that need servicing too.
All in all, a model route that deserves a place in MSTS history. I hope that come MSTS5 there's still a little bit of the original Fict ECML in there somewhere, just so that you can say it's 'original'.
One thing though... Today is 14th July, but in your first post you claim that 14th August is the birthday... Which is it?

MEUK is probably one of the top three routes on MSTS, on a par with Woodhead and Fife - Edinburgh. Ive definately played some of the best activities on the MidEast route. The price of £4.50 just doesnt do it justice, it could easily be priced higher and still be worth the money!

I think the 3 best freeware routes in msts at the current time is MIDEAST UK, Woodhead and Fife
I can remember, rushing upstairs when i first got it, installing everything and powering up to wansford with a 9F, It is still really good today, especially considering its two years old!, lets hope it lasts untill the last MSTS is produced!

Might get to do it all again for the next version Alan
I must admit it was a good year for not getting sunburn myself, seems like if you are a route editor you are easily spotted at MSTS events as being the one that is lighter than everyone else, malnourished and has to wear sunglasses all the time because you are not used to the light
