Hi Everybody
Below are some pictures of my First Revenue Earning Turn with Freightliner after Transfering from First Great Eastern
On Monday July 14th 2003 I sucessfully completed my first Driving Turn between Ipswich and Felixstowe Docks with 47309
The below pictures show 47309 at Ipswich Loco, and two pictures waiting to leave Felixstowe North Terminal with the 11:47 4R11 which consisted of 24 Wagons with 1140 Tonnes being the combined weight.
Tomorrow I am off to Leeds with a Class 66 so look out for some more pictures here.

Well done Gary. From Dusty Bins to Sheds.
Next time I'm waiting on Ipswich for a train to Norwich I will make some suitably directed gestures to the Freightliner office opposite just in case...
Ooh - just a mo - does this mean you get to drive 86's or are you just rostered for diseasals?

Once fully underway I will be in the West Coast Link and will be going to Crewe and Rugby.
Yes I have had my refresher on Class 86's and Class 90's.
After 7 years on Dusty Bins its strange how much you do remember, you just need pointing in the right direction again.
I have also had a refresher on Class 47 and learnt Class 57 and Class 66 from scratch.
The 57's are a clean version of a Class 47 with an engine that revs really fast but is more like a Class 31 for pulling power.
The Class 66's are Driver friendly(not having to leave your seat to fix many faults) but the Engine sound drives you barmy on long trips.
("YING YING YING YING")
Mark!
thanks for the offer of the gesture but save it for ("Anglia Failways")opps only kidding.
Good Luck to Anglia for their success in obtaining the Greater Anglia Franchise.

Yip, looking forward to more pics! Keep posting Gaz!
Starting to see a lot more FL activity up here, the 66's look especially nice
in the green livery.

I forgot to add, sitting in Basingstoke platform with a caution signal, waiting for a green before they proceed
