G-Max (V1.2) - registration not working

It started simply, I downloaded (v1.2) then registered to get my serial registration code. I then placed the registration code (about 40-50 characters) into the box and it doesnt recognise it as the 'continue' button doesnt light up and theres still a red cross in the corner - whats happening - why won't it work - i need to get making some narrow gauge models!

please help!!

It's been over a year since I registered mine, but I don't remember any long codes to enter.

All I've got in my archive of codes'n'passwords is an 8 digit alphanumeric password emailed back when I registered it. Are you sure you're entering the right number?

Talking of which, is there any way to tweak the registry so it works on a stand alone PC w/o internet connection?

Reading the FAQ at gmaxsupport.com it appears Gmax uses Internet Explorer cookies to check for registration. So, I don't know if you'd be able to copy a cookie from one installation to another: out of my area of expertise, that!
