How many music promo vids can you name which feature trains in?

Here's a few I can mention:

SASH Encore Une Fois - features trains in a Dutch station

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS Star Guitar - an excellent vid featuring a speeded up and edited train journey as seem from a passenger eye view. Again, it appears to have been filmed in Holland.

LASGO Sometimes - again features trains in a Dutch station!

LEVEL 42 Lessons In Love - can't remember what train was featured in this. But you also see Birmingham New Street

BRONSKI BEAT Smalltown Boy - features footage of a Class 101 DMU in what appears to be the Thames Valley region, and Paddington station.

can't think of anymore at the mo.

The Lasgo one was filmed quite a few miles away from the nearest Dutch border!

Oooh, one of my favourite subjects!

DOVES - There goes the fear
One of my favourite bands, There goes the fear features a rather excellently edited and created video that has to be seen a couple of times to get the full effect. Includes some cracking footage of early AL electrics and Mk1/2 coaching stock (complete with orange interiors, mm, nice) and an Amtrak FP40, as well as some assorted bits and bobs. Also a rather clever moment where the destination board at Euston clicks round from Apsley, Bletchley, Wigan, Carlisle....to Rio De Janerio :) The songs about the dawning realisation of a middle aged man that realises life is passing him by, and the urge to reclaim some of his lost childhood. Rio De Janerio in the midst of the carnival (via Blue Pullman/AL5/FP40) presumably symbolises this youthful, fun time which the man in question is going in search of.

Also some smashing flybys and track mounted shots of said trains :D

MANIC STREET PREACHERS - The Everlasting
My favourite band, but not one of my favourite songs. Opening shot of Euston throat in dreary weather wiith 87/90 powered trains coming and going. Main video features band members in various areas of station including ticket barriers and buffet place. Video is filmed in monochrome with, for some arcane reason people on fire or setting objests aflame. Never quite figured that one out myself.

QUEEN - Breakthru
If I remember correctly, the band on a flatcar begind a steam loco (Black 5?), that at one point "breaks through" a polystyrene wall. Very clever :)

Thinking about it, heres a few more suggestions from Uk.Railway

I cant remember who it was, But most of the song the singer walked along quite a few mark one coaches and then joins the rest of the band in one coach and they start playing, It was either on Kerrang or MTV2, not sure which though

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS Star Guitar was filmed in Southern France and has been heavly 'CGIed' which results in the music changing the sencery - its a very clever Video.

Hint: I know it was filmed in France for too reasons:

The director is french
There is a TGV at the end if you look carefully.

Is this Big Country? I know Big Country did a video with a steam train and a soldier playing bagpipes walking into a tunnel - very surreal alto' I'm sure it was meant to represent something!

Is this the TGV with the green paintwork? If it is I've spotted it and always wondered what sort of paint scheme that was as I've never seen any pics of a TGV with the same look.

I was in a video years ago when I was a pop-star, but we were on the top deck of an open top tram at Beamish open air museum. We had free rides for a couple of hours as they drove us up and down miming away trying to get the right shots. Unfortunately, we were also jumping up and down and stamping our feet in time to the music until the driver stopped, came upstairs and told us that all the ceiling was coming away downstairs! Whoooops...

So we did a load more shots in the 'high street' pub. Every time the shot went wrong we had to take again, which meant topping up the pints we had in front of us. How long did it take us to realise we were getting free beer during the retakes? ;) ;) How may retakes did we eventually 'get away' with?

Objection your honour!

IIRC, there is couple of TGV's in the yard at the very end of Star guitar in standard (grey/blue) livery.

Great song, but I never saw the video. Tried to search for the video using Kazaa but couldn't find it :(

Superb song and video, one of my favourites :D It looks like it was filmed Germany? In fact, the station looks very similar to one of the stations in Pro Train 2.

The queen one was filmed on the Nene Valley and I belive the loco was either 73050 city of peterborough or the SJ oil burning tak - I am sure someone will probably correct me on this- it was rather a long time ago an dI only got to see the happenings from a distance.
