Sounds very interesting! Its a shame there is no info on a UK route, but a very important point is highlighted by the fact you can import 3rd party addons from UKTS1 which has probably swung my decision to purchase the game....maybe. I wont be fully convinced until the UK route (assuming there is one) is announced.

Good news indeed - the import from V1 is MOST important!

Looks like we've got a BRITISH Steam Route!
Check out the last screenshot on
http://www.gamespaper.com/news/E32003Tr ... nsar.shtml
Anyone know what sort of loco it is, and where? (I think a 4-6-0, but being more clued up on modern stuff, i'm not 100% sure exactly what/where it might be).

It's 45407 - photo of the real one at

So what route do you reckon that could be? East Lancs railway maybe? or somewhere else? The screenshot seems to show a typically British "green fields, small station, and not a lot else" sort of route... let's hope it won't really be quite like that...

Hmm...tad dissapointed it's gonna be another British steam route again then. Was really hoping it would be a bit more modern day with diesels and electrics. Not to worry though, driving a steam train isn't all that bad. And still can't wait for this. The German route sounds the best so far though.

Is that kettle designed to conform with Californian exhaust emissions regs then?
Nice to see a classic electric like the DB 103 being modelled - though that DB 'biscuit' sign doesn't look quite right to me!
Major sigh of relief re compatibility btw!

Looking at the station building it's more likely taken on the German route. I suspect the UK route isn't ready yet.
