Well said! In anycase I imagine there will be plenty of route/stock builders ready to take advantage of any new facilities and build stuff to satisfy most people. Folk will just need to have a bit of patience. Its good that it looks like there will be compatibility with the MSTS1 offerings.saddletank wrote:Come on guys, how many times do I have to say this - the S&C that shipped with MSTS1 was not some 'poxy old time steam route'. The track layouts and signalling was as per the 1970s - 1980s, you could run any BR green or blue diesel up there with Mk1 or Mk2 coaches and everything would look fine except for the two old fashioned cars in the car spawner.
The Scotsman never worked that line in the 30s anyway, what you got in MSTS1 was a fairly recent S&C route with a 'preservation run' type set of activities - the presence of a GWR Castle and LMS Royal Scot in the one route just made it seem that much sillier.
If you want to see what the S&C looked like in the 'poxy old time steam' days then look how different Pat Daltons S&C 1930s route is to the Kuju offering.
And less of the insults towards our fine railway heritage as well please; if it wasn't for those poxy old Victorians in their poxy old steam engines you wouldn't have a modern railway network today.
Personally of course I like the steam routes and stock but as the evidence of this site shows there is plenty of modern diesels (how many 47s are there?) and modern add on routes.
