MidEast UK 1.3 upgrade - still a BETA?
Is the upgrade patch for MidEast 1.3 still a BETA or can it be used by people of all ability levels?

I made the patch a beta because I didnt have time to test it since I was running to a (NRM) deadline .
I did ask for feedback and subject ot that I would lift the beta status.
Feedback was minimal so until I can assume all is ok then I have kept it as such.

Erm. All was ok for me Tim. But I've not tested the full route yet.
so I'd leave the Beta tag on for now.
Will set too testing this week / weekend.
and see what problem's I can find, If any.

Why does DOS never Say Excelent Command or filename ?!!?!??
To Err is human, computers output the errors at higher speed.

I think I may have spotted one thing Tim .... and have been meaning to mention it for a bit.
I think during the 1.3 patch (I was running v. 1.2 for a couple of days last week and didn't notice it there) the signals on the down slow from approx milepost 48 to Arlesey or Biggleswade have somehow become reversed. They show a red aspect in the sim, but you can pass without any problem, track monitor shows the next signal as 8 or 10 miles away. Looking at AE it shows the signals pointing in the wrong direction.

I had a problem and it is probably my own fault. I did the biz with 1.3 and the routes and yes, blimey, it did slow my system down incredibly. Then I installed Jollys activity (414 semifast service) and there were broken paths and problems a plenty. So I reinstalled Mideast (and changed all my consists back to the way I like em again eg: no mark 2 coaches; extended SBX activity to London) and hey presto, back to normal. Besides no one has done any decent blue and grey activities for a while anyway as thats the period I work in, mentally and practically. (Mind you I haven't checked out the Birmingham one yet because I'm hanging on for JDs new Baby Brushes).
Cheers

If when installing an activity it asks if you want to overwrite - you're best off saying no. In your case I suspect you overwrote the new paths with old (1.2) ones.
Incidently your post reminds me I never did get round to extending Sbx to kings cross - I'll do that next week as part of my testing.
