Hello everyone.
Please could I get some help and advice to install the channel tunnel route? UKTS files 12727-12731 plus the patch ukts 12739 tunnel patch 1.1

I keep getting these messages after only a few seconds of running the first file :-

Please insert disc 2 And click OK

If the files on the disc can be found in a folder other than the one displayed below, enter the correct path or click browse.

Error The file "Tunnel setup 2 bin could not be located in
C:\users\Andrew\desktop\channel tunnel\UKTS-12727-tunnel 01"
Please insert the correct disc or select another folder.
.......................................................................................................................................
I have no option but to cancel and I get this.
Set up is not complete If you exit now The program will not be installed
You may Run setup another time, To complete the installation exit set up
Rolling back changes.

Has anyone else had problems trying to install this route.
As usual any help will be very much appreciated.
My computer is windows 7 Home edition.
Many thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
As it's a spanned zip, all the files must be in the same folder, but it doesn't help that there's no readme!

Unpack each of the 5 files, then copy tunnelsetup.exe, tunnelsetup-1.bin, tunnelsetup-2.bin, tunnelsetup-3.bin, tunnelsetup-4.bin and tunnelsetup-5.bin into the same folder. When that's done, run tunnelsetup.exe and you should be OK :)

If it still doesn't work, make sure you're using an archive program which "understands" spanned zips - WinZip, WinRAR and 7Zip definitely work, but there are, very likely, several others which will do the job. BUT the integrated unpacker in Windows Explorer certainly won't unpack a spanned zip!!

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Ged.
Thanks for the quick response, However, I have come up with another snag.
My Computer does not recognise Bin files and I have to create a programme, something that I would not have a clue how to do.
This is the message it flags up:- This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.
Please install a program or,if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Program control panel.

So it looks as if I will have to give it a miss.
Pity, because I was looking forward to running the class 320 Eurostar and I had downloaded quite a lot of loco's and rolling stock plus all the activities.
Thanks anyway.
Cheers
Andy

Andy, if you follow in details what Ged has advised, you will not need to run a .bin file. All you will need to run is "tunnelsetup.exe". This will automatically, internally, read the .bin files and install the route.

Thankyou both David and Ged.
I have unsuccessfully attempted to delete my reply, as indeed by copying the bin files from folders 02 to 06 into file 01 the setup worked
fine. So I am up and running!
Obviously I was thinking too far ahead about the bin files not working, I should have followed Ged's advice first.

Again many thanks.

Andy
