Hi Chaps
Got to the point in this Military Movement activity where I need to leave the WW1 tanks in the siding at the Ordnance Yard. I press F9 to show the train and try to uncouple the Tender from the wagons. However, the message in the title comes up - "The cars in this kind of train cannot be uncoupled".
Anyone seen this before? And if so, how do I ovecome it?
Cheers
Eric

Re: The cars in this kind of train cannot be uncoupled
Hi Eric,
This normally happens if you try to uncouple an engine from its tender when a bar(?) coupling is used. I haven't tried this activity but all the WD warflats that I have use chain couplings. The only thing that I can suggest is that you check the wag. files for the type of coupling used and amend if necessary.
Other more experienced users might have a better solution.
Regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen
You haven't tried this activity because I'm still creating it! It hasn't been uploaded yet!
Thanks for your solution - but as far as I can tell, the consist I have created is comprised of normal chain couplings. But I will strip it down to make sure!
Cheers

Eric, if you email me the consist in question I will have a good look at it.eholly wrote:Hi Stephen

Hi Chaps
No worries - I solved the problem!!
I feel a wee bit foolish - Stephen was correct - I had tried to uncouple between engine and tender - the bar coupling. Quite ridiculous - I am getting too old for this milarky!
Sorry chaps, false alarm.

Re: The cars in this kind of train cannot be uncoupled
This can also happen if the couplings on the tender are the wrong way round.
IE. first entry in tender .wag file is BAR
First entry is the rear coupling.
