Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Andy, checking on where I stored this Activity, it is in the Folder for Parts 1+2+3, therefore should only be done on that version of the Route.
I've dug out the Activity Sheets for this run and unfortunately I had to make changes to it to get it to work on my computer, there were three
trains starting at Retford at the same platform at the same time and so I deleted two of them so this got rid of the Activity ending with a collision
as you went down the track and the departure times at all stations after Kings Cross were wrong but you could still do the run clear.
Another note I made was do not reload after a save but this may be o.k. after I made my changes.

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Ged.
Thanks for the "Heads up" I think and if my understanding is right both 1N02 and Flying Scotsman activities can only run if parts one and two only are run.
I guess both these activities were written before The leeds loop and Hertford loop CD's were produced! Now that would account why a couple of
other activities I tried "crashed"the same way, I remember one was a Harrogate to KX which I dumped.
I will keep FS and 1N03 "on hold" on my external hard drive ECE Folder so that in the event in the future If I really want to run them I will reinstall parts 1 and two only.
Cheers
Andy

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Andy, yes both those activities are for the ECE Parts 1+2, I found that you could get away with the 1N02 0730 Kings Cross to Newcastle being run
after the Leeds Loop has been added and never occurred to me at the time, it was for the earlier previous version.

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Andy,
Regarding the 1N02 0730 Kings Cross to Newcastle activity ...
Please be aware that :
1. The link for obtaining the "Uncle Red" Class 66 locos is no longer live; use http://www.treinpunt.nl instead and locate them in their library (needs log-in) - but see note 2.
2. Not all of the "Uncle Red" Class 66 locos are in the downloads quoted. This is due to a disagreement at treinpunt.nl. As far as I've been able to find out, the missing locos are no longer available, (I found some of them in an old archive, but am unable to share them).
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Andy,
Further update ...
The activity loads successfully into a Part1/2 combination, but I haven't run it yet.
When Part 3 (Leeds Loop) is added, it causes 3 broken paths.
There are several items missing from the stock list and some amendments are required to files/folders in order to pass the Route_Riter tests. Unless you are comfortable making these sort of changes, I recommend you give this act a miss!!
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Ged.
Yes I do have all of the stock that is required including the class 66's from Dutch Train Design\Uncle Red\Blue including the latest FL Downloads which
I obtained from Trainsim.com only about a week ago.
Took a look at the http://www.treinpunt.nl link but after sifting through the site and eventually finding the UK class 66's, Tried to download the
EWS 66's but was unable to, So may revisit TS Com and see what we have. Thats a very interesting comment you made about the dispute, In actual fact,by combining the exsisting file plus the new two there are a couple of extra Locos.
Regards the activities, I cannot repair paths, so will put both 1N02 and Flying scotsman on hold and if I really want to run them in the future will install a version 1 and 2 only of ECE.
I have also now installed the two Management special acts that use the EWS 67 and Mk3+Dvt, This is for version 1&2 but only runs to Doncaster, So I have got away with that one!
Thanks for your help and advice, Allways very much appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Andy,
Don't worry about the treinpunt.nl files - those available on trainsim.com are exactly the same!
That said, as I mentioned before, the locos available in those downloads are lacking some required for the activity - they were in the original (2008) downloads. Also, the folder name for the Freightliner locos has been changed.
Although the activity can be made to work, I wonder if it would be worth the effort!!
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Ged, in light of your comment about the 1N02 Kings Cross to Newcastle Activity, I've decided to re-load it in the ECE Parts 1+2 Route
when I'm tackling the Flying Scotsman one and see how it compares with my original run.
I had no problem running it on the ECE Parts 1+2+3 Route and noted that you say that doing so will result it broken paths which apart from
the 3 AI trains starting at the same time and place, resulting in the error message Activity ended due to your Train colliding, by deleting
2 of them I could do the run o.k.

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Ged, in preparation to doing the 1N02 0730 Kings Cross to Newcastle Activity, I unpacked it to have a look at the Activity and Traffic files
and I found the following services.
SL_1A09_Retford - London 31500
SL_1A09_Retford - London 32100
SL_1A09_Retford - London 32100
SL_1A09_Retford - London 32100
The last two are the ones I deleted originally and have done so again as these will cause the Collision error I encountered the first time.
When I'm ready I will copy the new unpacked files into the correct folders in ECE 1+2 Route.

Re: Saving S Files in Activity Editor
Hi Bob,
Thank you!
I can't understand why there would be three entries for the same service at the same time - no wonder you had collisions!!
Also, there are several missing stock items and incorrect file/folder names - I'll send you a PM, but it'll take some time!
Cheers,
Ged
