Hello,

Just now I installed Europeanbahn's London-Brighton Express onto my MSTS. After installing and running MSTS, the game stood at the loading screen before crashing to the desktop with "Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. After uninstalling LBE, the same happens, even though MSTS was working fine before. Is there anyway I can fix MSTS without having to uninstall it?

It uses a older Tsection dat,look on the front page for MSTS quick picks,scroll down to T section down load it and install into the msts global folder,if says overwrite click yes.
make and keep a back up of the new T section.dat as a lot of older routes will install the old version.

It depends of what other routes you have installed, but check which version of tsection.dat file is in the GLOBAL folder. The file can be opened with NotePad - near the beginning of the file should be a line something like : _INFO ( Build 000xx ). If xx is less than 38, or there is no _INFO line, that could be the problem. EB London - Brighton Express is an old product and, I believe. it uses an earlier version of tsection.dat. If you run predominately UK/European routes, I suggest you install either tsection.dat build 38 or 42UK (UKTS File IDs 27747 or 13758 respectively); if you run North American routes, use tsection.dat build 42 (UKTS File ID 27748.

The problem remains after you've uninstalled LBE because the tsection.dat file is not reverted to its previous version.

Hi all thank you for you responses,

I have only Europeanbahn's East Coast Express series installed and Part 1 of West Coast Express (I just uninstalled London South Coast in the hope it will fix the problem) Plus all the MSTS routes. I have just looked at the Word Pad File and indeed it is 0019 (I tried removing it from the global folder and starting MSTS but still did not work) I am just downloading File ID 125758 now, is there no way to run LBE then?

Hello again, my MSTS is now working fine again, thanks for all your help. Will I ever be able to play LBE again or will it be consigned to history?

Hi Hello111, once you've installed a new Route you must check the T-Section file in your Global Folder and if it is not either Build 38 or 42Uk, then you
must re-install one of the later builds and once this is done there is no reason that any British Route cannot be run on your computer.
