Maybe its because your 1st post made no sense.
1) Once you are into TS.COM you can stay there for as long as you like, and download as much as you like without having to log in again (unless you close the browser etc...)
2) No sensible person would give a stranger thier user id and password to anyone other than someone they personally trusted. And the fact you jusy posted this on open forum would suggest that you don't know anyone close enough who would do it.
(ps, your second post did not make too much sense either!)

Once you log into Train-sim.com, you stay logged in. You will be logged out in 60(or was it 30?) minutes if there is inactivity. Logging in doesn't take an hour! The longest I've got was about pressing F5+Enter 50+ times and that was less than 20 minutes!

You cannot stay on train-sim.com as long as you wish, even if you are a premium member (i am).
If the browser is inactive for 30 min or more you are auto logged out, even if you have a file downloading. So if you have a large file to download, just flip back and fore between the pages to keep your session active.
IKB.

There has been posts at train-sim.com about this.isambardkingdombrunel wrote:If the browser is inactive for 30 min or more you are auto logged out, even if you have a file downloading. So if you have a large file to download, just flip back and fore between the pages to keep your session active.
If you download a file, then press the "logout" and the file hasn't finished downloading yet, it is mostly likely the download will cut.
But, if you download, then close IE, or let the session expire itself after 30min, the download will complete. I am sure this is correct since I have downloaded large files. I think the biggest was the Big Boy and Challenger units and was 60MB? Took me more than an hour to download.

I've found that it's not possible to continue downloading files when not a premium member. When downloading, i get some message about i've had too many downloads blah blah (Words to that effect) and i need to reboot and relog in to the site.
It says the maximum is five, i generally get the message after one or two downloads.

Fully agree ,if you start a download it will complete, regardless of timescale as long as you are not physically disconnected from the site by your ISP ,phoneline etc.Took me more than an hour to download
But if this occurs after the 30 min time out, then even premium users like myself have to log back in and resume the download from within the site.
I am on 56k and have a 2hr isp enforced cut off,so if i am downloading large files,i have to keep my browser connection to train-sim.com active within those 30 min periods.

Aahhh... I get that when I use GetRight to accelerate things from there. For some reason I reckon download accelerators sometimes keep a connection open and then you get the maximum files downloading screen which only relogging in can cure.
My advice? Do like I do. Disable your download accelerator and the download the files simultaneously. I download 5 at a time and get 50k download speed over all 5, the same as getting one large file split by GetRight. AND, I can download one more when each one finishes.
There... hope that helps.

Strange how this varies. Here is my experience of T-S.com (no subscription).
1) I can only ever d/l 2 files simultaneously.
2) I never seem to get logged out unless I have had an idle connection for some time - poss 30 mins?
3) I have spent hours on there some nights, with no system disconnect unless (as I said) my login is idle for a long time.
4) D/l-ing a file does not appear to constitute an idle connection.
It seems the experience is different for others but this definitely my experience there.

I too do not see the problem,as I've never had any troubles downloading.I use Getright by the way.Non premium too.
In deference to other users,I set up my transfer,"logout" then leave T-sim and go browse elsewhere.
To avoid my ISP from prematurely chucking me off line(much the same as the alleged t-sim cutoff),I watch ships transiting the Panama Canal via a webcam. That way the ISP is fooled into sensing I'm still active as that page updates every minute or so.If I lose interest I browse elsewhere,or go watch some telly. My longest download has been circa 6hrs,so I can't complain.
