Post by peterdore »

Hello people, had a drive the other day on Pat Daltons S&C 1930's making
yet another Activity, when i had left Garsdale and heading for dent as you know you go over water troughs, well the troughs are there but no water!! eeeekkkkk :o

Any ideas how to put the water back in?

Do they show up in the AE in the same way as water towers do? If they do then perhaps it's a case of right clicking and selecting properties.

On the MSTS|options|advanced display screen there is a checkbox for water, has this been unchecked?

What weather conditions are you running, I've noticed on the default S&C if you have winter|snow the water dissappears.

Water troughts? Are these just cosmetic or do they actually work as a pick-up object? There are sound triggers in the default .sms files for water collection. If water troughs work is there any associated sounds?

They do indeed work as pickup objects, not sure about associated sounds though.

I think it's in the Acleantrack2.ace file, there's a few different version's, a USA one and a UK (Europe1) version.

Yep, it is. :)

Just edited the Texture to read That I was good.

the entire water trough told me I was Good. :D

so if you copy the Acleantrack2.ace from Europe1 then the Water should re-appear. :)

If you have TGAtool2 and know how to edit texture's, you could probably be abled to edit in the better texture with the water. :)
