Mini Routes

Just installed 2 mini routes and they both display the same problem.

They both load ok up to the splash screen with the options to run " introductory train", "tutorials" etc but when I run the mouse over them to select any one of the options there isnt the "hand" to allow selection but if I run the mouse over the close and expand icon in top right corner there is the "hand" so the mouse seems to be working ok.
On running all the other routes through msts the selection hand apprears!!!

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Dennis

Have you read the mini route tutorial on the front page?on the left hand side look for NEWS about the fourth line down it says mini loader tutorial.
Read that and it will show you every thing about using mini routes.

Having got round my initial problem i'm now trying to run the mini routes and other routes on a faster better machine ( acer aspire E1-572P running at 2.6GHz with an Intel is-4200u processor and intel HD Graphics 4400 up to 1684Mb's dynamic memory and 4Gb memory) Windows 8.1 and get the following problem "the program loads up and runs up to the splash screen then it over lays with a numerious amounts random letters and figures and makes it unplayerable" I can get round it by running it on Open Rails but how do I run mini routes under Open Rails? or do I just move the route into the main msts folder? It also when I upgraded to Windows 7 it still did the same so I changed back to Windows 8.1

Hi Dennis,
The problem with the Intel integrated graphics is well-known, particularly when using Win 8 / 8.1, although it also causes the same problems under Win 7 for some users. There is no solution :(

To add a miniroute to Open Rails, click on "Add..." at the top of OR's first screen; navigate to the Train Simulator folder of the desired miniroute and click <OK>; In the "installation profile" screen, change the "Name" entry to reflect the name of the route; Click <OK>.

NOTE : before any miniroute can be used in Open Rails, its Mini Loader must be run and the <Unstore All> button clicked, followed by <Quit>.

Hope this helps :)

Cheers,
Ged

 I think you'll find that RTFM should be prefixed by "As a last resort...." That's how I learnt it ...but back in the day some of us had skills that covered a multitude of tasks?!
Nowadays they put labels on to tell folk which way up stuff goes and if it'll be hot or cold!!! I suppose if you've spent your developing years txting these things might come as a surprise? 8)
