North Wales Coast Route

This is a repeat of a question I asked several years ago (but something might have changed!).

Is the Version 2 upgrade for the route available for purchase anywhere?

CD ordering on this site; however you can only get the combined route not the individual parts.

When UKTS took over the retail of the Class 15 Preservation Society items, the North Wales Coast Route was re-packaged (Part 1 + Part 2 + a new Part 3) and is sold as a single entity "North Wales Coast Version 2".
The original Part 1 was £24.99, Part 2 was £17.99. The new combined package is £25.20 (£21 + VAT).

I already have Part 1. Can Part 2 alone be purchased anywhere?

Hi David, I ordered many years ago from the original supplier, Part Two of the Route and cost me another £17.00 which in
fact was cheaper than Part 1 i.e. £25.00.
So to answer your question I think the chances of you getting a copy of only Part 2 are practically nil but someone may sell it
on E-Bay.co.uk as I've never seen it on the Amazon.co.uk for sale at any time.

Hi Peter,
the North Wales Coast Route was re-packaged (Part 1 + Part 2 + a new Part 3)
As one who has the original separate Parts 1 and 2, the above is interesting! What does Part 3 comprise of - is it a route extension, or additional stock, or patches, or all three? :)

Bob : The original disks say "Not for resale" on them, so I don't know if they could be offered legitimately on Ebay!

Cheers,
Ged

North Wales Coast Part 1 + Part 2 was pure diesel era stock and activities.

Part 3 added a raft of Steam locos and stock and activities to drive them with (No route changes were made for Part 3).

The purpose of Part 3 was to expand the userbase that would have an interest in the product.
Something we try to achieve with ALL CD/DVD products, hence SDJR although a steam route has diesels and activities to drive them.

Hi Ged, I realise that all legit bought add-ons have the "Not for Resale" on their sleeves, but as you know that doesn't stop
people from advertising them on E-Bay.
Like you I was wondering what extra was available on the Mini-Route and as I have added the new Steam Activities that
were created later on and just for info. the Part 2 could only be added if you had the original version, unlike ECE Route where
each part could be run as a separate route.

I have found somewhere I can get Part 2 from. The inevitable question from me as a "steam-nut" now is, is there anywhere I can get the part 3 upgrade (the steam activities) from?

Hi David, I'm sorry but I don't know what is on the North Wales Mini Route CD as I never bought it.
If you are upgrading the Part 1 to 1 + 2, I would suspect that these are probably the ones that Peter has mentioned as
the extra ones to the original Activities that came with the normal combined Route.
I know trying some of the Original Activities that they failed to work correctly and so I amended them and created an
.apk file if I wanted to reload them, I see that there are three amended Activities in the list I gave you so someone
else has done this already.

Some of them may be on the new mini route package; but probably not all as mine require various items of payware which users may not have.
