The 12 Days of MSTS...

'June is MSTS Month' was a great event and provided a much-needed boost for the sim. The feeling is people were keen to do it again, but wanted the freedom to provide any form of content, not just be restricted to one area, like we had with Actober.
With Christmas exactly a month from now, we're launching another initiative, entitled 'The 12 Days of MSTS'.
It's based on the 12 days of Christmas, which runs from 25th December to 5th January and our '12 Days of MSTS' will follow the same time period.
We don't need 10 lords-a-leaping, unless it's an animated scenery item(!), but if you've got anything you'd like to contribute, whether it's brand new or finishing off something you've never got around to completing, we'd love you to contribute it during this event.
The floor is open, you can upload what MSTS content you like, just like June.
If you want to contribute something, or many things, feel free to post away on this thread and like June, let's see if this event can 'snowball' into something bigger.

For this event, I'm going to have one last crack at the Cally 303. This model has haunted me for a long time and it seems every time I think I've cracked it, another issue pops up. Unlike the later liveries, I'm too young for this one so can only go by photographs and vague memories of two units (001 & 048) that had a very similar livery towards the end of their working lives (but had subtle differences like partial yellow cab ends etc).
The texture mapping is a nightmare and like other versions, there will need to be compromises.
If anyone wants to paint a white roof, by all means get in touch. My efforts were awful.

Is there anyone who wants to join Alec and myself for this? Would be good to have some MSTS uploads over the holiday period.

Hi Niall,
I have an Activity I am working on as well as the 444 Desiro (Although I cannot see the Latter being done before the 12 days are up!)
I have an Activity I am working on currently! Just trying to get MSTS to behave itself with the waiting times in MSTS and to get the timings near enough correct on the Player Train! Why oh why does MSTS want to default back all the time to its default waiting times??
From here on in I can then add other A1 trains and make sure these coincide. Then just a case of getting the readme done, getting it tested and then Packaging it up! not a lot to do then!!! (No Pressure!)
Shame you couldn't have made it the whole Christmas period Niall!

Anyway here is a screenshot of the Act I am working on;
Cheers
Andy

Cheers Andy. Look forward to it.
I used to manually edit the player waiting times in wordpad or notepad (I forget which). There was a program which used to convert times into seconds, but I can't remember what it's called as more recent activities have behaved how they should!

Hi Niall,
I am using MSTS_TimeCalc.exe to manually insert the times for the player Service. It is the A1 Trains with any waiting times that always seem to be the problem really. I use context Editor program to change the Player times Manually. But am I right in saying you cannot change the A1 times in the .act file? Going back to the Player times I make a copy of the times and if they change then I copy my backup file into the .act file.
Cheers
Andy

I shall be uploading my revised Class 101 repaints over "THE 12 DAYS OF MSTS", and I'll try for one each day allowing for the Xmas break that will undoubtedly affect us all.

No. As and when, like June.
