I have a question about this program, Shape File Manager. It's nothing wrong with this program but need to know where to install this program to? My computer have Microsoft Windows 7 64X Home Premium and am sure that you all know that the program of Microsoft Train Simulator installed itself in C:\ not C:\ (x86). So Now i wan to know where do I install this program of Shape File Manager to C:\MSTS or just put this on desktop of my computer? At first I did put them on my desktop of my computer and no problem to uncompress the shape file of one locomotive but open in WordPad and still the same with all different letters and symbols not normal. I have the program called " ConTEXT but need to know how to setup the path of the Shape File Manager to open ConTEXT or WordPad. Your help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

John

Hi John,
Shape File Manager is not installed! It can be placed wherever you like (but keep away from Program Files / Program Files (x86) if using Vista, Win7 or Win 8!). If it's not located on the Desktop, a shortcut can be created for it.

I don't think you can use any editor other than WordPad - there wouldn't be any point as it's only used to display / edit the uncompressed shape file.

Cheers,
Ged
