Fitted Freight to Skipton

Post by spionkop »

Hi all,

I am trying to run Fitted Freight to Skipton for Skipton to Carlisle 1940's Route. The activity starts at 1337hrs waiting in the siding for the signal to clear. The signal cleared at roughly 1351hrs so I moved reversed to Platform 1A just past the signals, stopped and changed direction to go forward. The signal was at stop so I tried to tab to carry on but it said await instructions. At about 1400hrs I was able to go forward a few yards then was stopped again at a ground signal. Again wait for instructions and this is now about half an hour after opening up the activity. Also I am having to do this manually as there are no paths to follow. The instructions seemed simple enough.

Any help would be much appreciated

Regards
Steve

Hi Steve, looking at my comments for doing this Activity I found that there is no location point at the end to finish the
Activity and so I would put in before you start a run.
I got a permanent Red signal at Culgaith Starter signal and so I reloaded the Activity and got through the next time but got
a Red signal at Newbiggin and waited for 10mins. (Now 14.16) this signal went Green at 14.17.50 on rolling forward.
Watch out on the refuge siding as it is downhill and difficult to stop before the buffers, Red signal after Appleby but it went
Green 1.6miles before it, and another before Garsdale and you need to trip a R.Pt. before it but this caused the Red Signal
to go Green so no reversing was necessary and proceeded on to Skipton where I found I couldn't end the end location point
as it was missing.
I never did the Run another run after installing a Location Point as I felt I had done the run once and that was enough time
spent on it and had loads more to do.

Hi Bob

Thanks for your reply. Well you did better than I have, I have not even got managed to couple up yet, I am stuck at the ground signal just before the wagons. It is still telling me to await instructions. I have got another activity underway, Skipton Local which seems to be OK.
