V2 Cab

Post by spionkop »

Hi everyone

I have just installed V2 80817 (60817?) and I am having trouble with the cab which not showing up. In the common.cabs folder the is an A4 file folder but I can't get it to work even though I have put this in the eng file as CabView (A4.cvf). The sound is working perfectly.

Hi Steve, if it is in the common cab folder, the path is incorrect - it usually looks something like ("..\\..\\common.cab/A4/A4.cvf" I haven't got the folder so can't check! :) Or you need to copy the cvf from the common cab folder into the loco cab folder depending on the instructions with the cab.

Hi Steve,
You shouldn't change anything regarding the cabview for this loco!
The eng file entry is Cabview ( V2.cvf ) which points to the loco's CABVIEW folder; in this folder is V2.cvf in which all the file references point to ../../common.cabs/A4/

IMPORTANT NOTE : folder name is NOT common.cab but is common.cabs, which is the folder Dave supplied with the loco.

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Mark & Ged

Thanks very much for your replies. I'm please to say that now I've got it working, thanks to your help. I'm very please with the sound as well. I think I got a bit confused with the V2 cab cvf and it talking about A4 cab.

Regards
Steve
