A good several years ago, I came across some pictures somewhere on a then new route from San Francisco to San Diego on MTS. It was a commercial item. Does anyone know what the name is or where it can be got ?

It could have been the old commercial Surfliner route,the company that made it went bust,there is a free ware version of the route on trainsim.com,which is newer and better,

I don't know of a route which includes San Francisco, but there was a commercial route from Facing Point Media called Pacific Surfliner which ran from San Diego to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, this company no longer exists, so the route can't be obtained legally. The good news is that a freeware version by Jeff Farquhar is available at trainsim.com; it runs between the two cities and is called Surfliner. Currently it's at version 2, and is a great route
Although there is plenty of suitable stock available on trainsim, a stock pack from the commercial route is still available, for a price, from 3DTrains, which can be used on the freeware route.

I may have confused San Francisco for LA as it was quite a time ago now. The supplier going bust no doubt didn't help me find it but you have both confirmed that version on TrainSim so will have a look there. That's great news and a help so thanks to you both from a damp and miserable Glasgow!

To tell you the truth the freeware version of the route is far better than the original version,and the stock pack from 3D Trains is well worth the money,depending on the exchange rate these days.

.... especially now as it's 40% off at $12.00, which is £7.71, VAT may have to added, but there's no postage because it's a download! You have to join their Forum (for free) in order to download.
