Ending Activities.

I may have not read the book properly but when I set up a freight activity or a passenger one which needs to end ' on the way to' i.e. beyond the last station on the route the activity either ends on stopping at the last station or doesn't want to end at all.

Any easy solutions?

You have to put the "place end point" slightly past the station you want to end at, then when you stop at the last station you have to wait for the loading time then the act will end.

On freight acts you have to exit out of the path & service editors, then right click where you want the act to end, "place location event" set radius, I normally set it to 20 meters and tick "train must stop" but its up to you, "outcome" drop down box set to "complete activity successfully" then "OK".

For a passenger activity, if you want to stop other than at the last station, you must go into the action events window and delete the "default" event (which is stop at last station, end activitiy)

Personally when using location event to end I do not check "train must stop" cos there's nothing more frustrating than having to keep inching forward looking for this hidden spot to stop on!

Yep, thats why I give it a 20 meter radius so you have plenty of room to play with.

I put in the activity discription that the activity ends automatically or a very specific description of where you need to stop.
