Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
Hi Mark,
Just to expand on Pete's remarks, my copy is in the main MSTS folder - it is not set up as a Mini Route. My only input can be that BrisCard runs OK for me using V38, V42UK, and V44 but not V42.
To everyone else, thank you for your positive feed back. The short extension does have a better and different feel to it as I finally admitted to myself that other people make better vegetation than I do!
Regards,
Chris

Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
Thanks Peter & Chris.
I am using the UK version of TSection 42, so I should be OK to delete the mini-route and run it as normal.
I was most impressed with the feel of the new section, it just keeps getting better and better

Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
I was very impressed with the extension.
Now I have the new version installed and running as a mini-route I hope to knock out a couple of activities that can also be turned into ITRs for use at UKTSlive shows. Brighton is coming up and we can be light on crew on the Friday so having an ITR that can run for an hour or so over lunch is always handy especially since Railworks does not support ITRs.

Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
Hi.
I'm having a problem with the new V6 installation and that is when it loads up I get an immediate crash and error message "failed to load sms track-type file". I've not seen this before, anybody any ideas?
Thanks,
Simon3747

Hi Chris,
Having got round to driving between Swindon & Westbury and Westbury & Bristol; I'm very impressed with the route extension.
(Would still like to see it head north a little
)
Simon - have you installed the full route or the upgrade from V5?

Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
For those that have got it working, are you using the v5 to v6 patch?
I have tried installing it using the complete files (1 to 3) but the installer gets as far as saying 'TEXTURES\NIGHT\StoneGreyWall.ace' is corrupt and I have to re-run the installer to try again. Problem is, it's corrupt again and I go round in circles so it never completes. I thus assume it would be easier to just download the earlier version and work through the patches?

Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
Have you removed the UKTS_xxxx prefixes from the files?
The route files have been resubmitted for approval.
If someone is installing the complete route using the three files and gets an error message that says
File is corrupt or unreadable
Textures\Night\StoneGreyWall.ace
this will indicate that the three files have not been renamed to the same prefix BrisCard. This spanned installer needs the three files to have exactly the same prefix for the installer to work properly.
Regards,
Chris
Kindest regards,
Simon.

Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
If I upgrade my BrisCard V5.0 to the new V6 will all my activities I have running on V5 still work or will the upgrade change the Paths and render the activities unusable. If so could I install the three files for V6 to my MSTS routes without overwriting my V5

Re: BrisCard V6 goes south to Westbury
Hi Mike,
I've not had any problems with broken paths going from v5 to v6.
I don't however have many activities that were down that part of the route.
Chris had in earlier versions had spurs off the existing trackwork for these branches; so it should only be an issue if you started in such a location.

Thanks for that gswindale, just to be on safe side I will turn my V5 into a mini route and then update.
