Woodhead V1 problem

Post by michaelhendle »

Hi

Just down loaded the Old Woodhead Route, but it comes up with missing enviroment files,on checking the route folder there is no enviroment folder in it,
If I try to run it I get the train initialization failure message, have tried both T dat 38 and the latest T dat 42.

All other routes run OK

I only down loaded it as I wanted some where to run Dark Angels EM1 Electric Loco's,looks like I will have to wait until the New Woodhead route is released.

Maybe I could use the Great Eastern route,as the LNER had plans to electrify the route further, except WW2 got in the way.

Hi Mike,
but it comes up with missing enviroment files,on checking the route folder there is no enviroment folder in it,
This may not be the correct solution! But have you tried copying the ENVFILES folder from the Europe1 route?

Hi Mike

From the original instructions

"5. Run the edited Install.bat file - this should copy files from your MSTS folders and
the install folder into the route on your machine - when its done, you should see a
new route called Woodhead Route in MSTS - happy exploring..."

Hi Ged and Jon,

I think the bat missed something,as I copied and pasted the env folder as Ged suggested from Europe 1 and all OK now.

Many thanks for the advice you gave me.

Mike,

V1 has been superceded by V2.2, V1 only included the western half of the route.

Should not be very long now for 4.0.

Hi Tim,

I only down loaded it so as I cold run Dark Angels EM1's as soon as V4 arrives V1/2 will go into my external hard drive as a reminder of what the old rout was like.

One thing the old route runs fine in OR so hopefully your version will as well, when you compare the new against the old you have done a really fantastic job.

Mike,

I have tried V4.0 in OR and it does not display the aerial photo decals (unless this can be fixed in a subsequent version), so the 'without aerial' version may be a better bet for OR for the time being. Has anyone tried Daryn's very good new EM1s in OR?

Edit - sorry Mike just realised your post implied you have indeed tried the new EM1s in OR along with the old Woodhead route?
