Hi all,

I wonder if someone can possibly help please? I have checked all the other Routes/Acts etc and it appears to only be an issue with LSC. Whenever i try and load any activity via TrainStore it gets to the loading screen and then just goes back to Trainstore. Does anyone know or can help why this is possibly happening please? It isn't just down to any act in particular as it is happening with all of them. I have checked some of the Acts in Route-Riter and there are no errors cropping up.

Have you loaded anything else recently? What other routes have you got?
Which version of the tsection.dat file are you using?
The latest for the UK is

Thanks. I have got a little bit closer now since copying that Tsection.dat file to the EB_LSC Route and to the main Global folder. But the problem I have now is that everything is greyed out on the main screen. This means I am unable to click on anything apart from the X to exit in the top right hand corner.
I have loaded many Acts etc recently for MSTS - I don't think any for LSC though.

Hi Andy,
Have you "Unstored Everything" in Train Store to reset the tsection it uses.
How are you using Train Store Classic or Easy?

Use Classic and look in the Manual under " Tsection.Dat file Swapping"

Msts can be told to load a specific .dat with a specific route.

And ALWAYS START MSTS THROUGH TRAIN STORE.

Hey Doug,
I unstored everything and have tried as you have said. I am still getting everything greyed out and unable to click on to any option when the screen loads up. I have even copied the Tsection.Dat file to a new Directory and pointed the route to it; but to no avail.
Do you have any other ideas on what could be the problem?

Hi Andy,
There is an option in Train Store to set the default Tsection that is used if one is not specfied.
Tools-Options/System default TESECTION.DAT settings.

The LSC route my have a special need in it's Tsection.
Can you open/explore the LSC Disk. Copy the Tsection and Paste it into the Routes/LSC Folder.
Failng that reinstall LSC to replace it.
Then set it as the one to load when Train Store starts MSTS.

Where are your saved Tsection files that Train Store will chose from? Mine are in the Train Simulator Folder in folders named section38. section41. section42UK ect. with the actual tsection.dat file inside.

Although since Tsection 42UK there should be no reason for separate versions.
As Geoff's post said loading the 42UK version should cover all needs.

I do not know if having the Tsection away from MSTS and pointing to it will work.

Thanks for the reply Doug. I will reinstall LSC tomorrow and point it to the Tsection.dat on the disk. So possibly an issue with using the new Tsection.dat file? Does everything greyed out on the main screen mean that it is a Tsection.dat file problem?

Unstore Everything before reinstalling so as not to miss any overwrite.
Point Train Store to the saved Tsection. It must be available for Train Store to choose when needed.

I can not be sure there but I think that is a sign of no routes/acts selected. TSection.dat older than the one needed gives the symptom you had. Loading OK and just stopping. It's because all the track pieces are not there.

Hi Doug,

It looks as though it will be a reinstall tomorrow as I have unstored everything within Trainstore numerous times this evening and the same problem is there. I have pointed Train Store on the LSC route to the new Tsection.dat and looks as if it isn't resolving the issue. I am sure I have a backup of LSC somewhere as it was working last week when I last tried it. (I'll try the backup of the route first to see if it resolves the issue as there may be some files missing)
Not sure what has caused it to go wrong since as have only installed other acts in other routes and the new Tsection.dat as far as I know.

Hi Andy,

LSC has a copy of it's own TSection.dat in the associated route folder. If you're overwriting that with the global TSection.dat the route won't be able to load the custom track shapes it uses. Hence the greyed out screen you're getting.

The TSection.dat you download from UKTS, ONLY goes in Train Simulator/Global, NEVER anywhere else.

Thanks for all you're help. I copied over the data from the backup drive and it is now working fine. I wonder if it was possibly a problem with some missing files other than the Tsection.dat file problems?
